SWN events are hosted by nature lover and folk singer, Sam Lee and each evening he is joined by a special guest musician. This unique experience offers fireside charm, exquisite food, delicious drinks, enchanting songs and stories, and an after-dark walk into the woods to meet the exceptionally rare Nightingale. Once there, you will experience a magical concert as our musicians join in an improvised duet with their virtuosic night-song.

A private event gives you the opportunity to tailor and adapt any experience to suit your needs. Below is an overview of what we offer as standard however personalisations can be made so please get in touch to hear more about what is possible and discuss your requirements with one of our team.

A private booking commences with welcome refreshments at the woodland camp and an arriving circle. The evening then unfolds with musical performances by the campfire, an ecological tour of the woods, and post-dinner tales of this majestic bird’s life, songs and folklore, culminating in the now-famous finale: a silent walk in the dark to hear our signature human-avian musical collaboration under the stars before returning to the campsite. The following day a light breakfast is served followed by a guided reflection and an activity of your choice to further integrate the transformational potential of this group experience and a lunch to bid you farewell.
Booking a private event also means you will have a dedicated team member supporting you in the run up to the event and ensuring everything runs seamlessly. There will also be a post-event resource pack with tools to support continuing nature connection practices.

We collaborate with local chefs to offer high-quality meals made with local, organic ingredients and options are customisable to dietary needs. Dinner is served around the campfire, maintaining the rustic charm of the event that honours the timeless tradition of coming together to share a meal around a fire. In case of bad weather, we can provide shelter.

We serve a selection of hot drinks, foraged herbal infusions and organic local craft beers, ciders and wines, sourced from trusted local suppliers. We encourage moderation during the sensory experience and recommend saving spirits for the final fireside gathering.

We offer several options for your overnight stay. For a truly magical experience, continue your adventure by sleeping in luxury bell tents on-site. Fall asleep to the distant sound of singing birds and wake to the magical dawn chorus. In the morning, we offer complimentary tea, coffee and breakfast. Hotel accommodation can be arranged nearby for those seeking more traditional comfort.

Climate Reframe

In 2023, SWN hosted a retreat on behalf of Climate Reframe, offering UK-based BIPOC professionals in the climate space a unique chance to connect with nature. The woods and campfire provided a unique and fruitful space for deep discussions about the role of access to nature and issues around identity, migration and safety of people of course in the nature space. It was an adventure many of the group had never had the opportunity to experience and for some, the first time sleeping in a tent.
