Anatole Muster
Anatole Muster is redefining what the accordion can do, bringing the instrument to new audiences through bold experimentation and contemporary sound. In live performance, he combines button accordion with laptop keyboard and a MIDI-controlled “breathalyzer” synth — a new instrument he co-developed with engineer Elio Fistarol.
Working across genres shaped by both jazz traditions and internet culture, Anatole collaborates with a global network of artists, from jazz and fusion to hyperpop and electronic music. His second album hopecore (2025) marks a confident evolution of his sound, moving fluidly through 80s jazz fusion, Midwest emo, Brazilian jazz and pop, while maintaining an uplifting, optimistic voice that is distinctly his own.
A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music with first-class honours, Anatole is rapidly gaining recognition for his joyful, expressive musicianship. With close to ten million streams across platforms and sold-out performances at venues including Ronnie Scott’s and the Jazz Cafe, his work has been widely praised for giving the accordion a new lease of life and communicating a powerful sense of joy.
